CAMPAIGN GOAL
Aside from a cover and some final touches, the STOMPING GROUNDS graphic novel is already done! This campaign was launched to collect pre-orders for a Kickstarter-exclusive special edition and pledging now greatly supports the project. This Kickstarter extravaganza includes a bunch of awesome backer-only perks and allows patrons to get their copy of STOMPING GROUNDS way before the standard edition’s release to stores later this fall.

WHAT IS STOMPING GROUNDS?
STOMPING GROUNDS is an original graphic novel, written by Amit Tishler (me me me!), Elliot Sperl (him him him!) and illustrated by Sarah Stern (her her her!) with coloring support from Rebecca Nalty (also her her her!). The book tells sitcom-like comedic entourage stories about an atypical family that struggles to get by in a crumbling, nostalgia-driven high-tech city, in an Earth terraformed by a shower of interstellar seed pods and freaky alien monsters. THE SETTING
The year is 2085...years have passed since "The Fermi-Fall" ushered in a new age on planet Earth. Giant creatures waltz across the horizon and fuzzy, house-sized spores bounce around like tumbleweeds, terraforming nearby suburbs into colossal alien forests. The earth we knew is OUT, and what’s left is a completely new reality. The old world is gone. Long live whatever the heck this is! But for the Shin family...the REAL challenge is living through the craziness that fills their day to day without losing their minds (or anything else) in the process.
OUR THESIS
Bob’s Burgers is not about the burger business and STOMPING GROUNDS is not about giant robot vs monster battles or alien invasions…
…these are just background elements that contextualize the characters lives and the struggles they face. They allow us to use narrative “comfort food” formats to thematically challenge our readers’ pre-conceived notions. At it’s core, STOMPING GROUNDS is a trojan horse: a gentle critique vs mass produced affirmation. We use coziness to lure you in – only to shake you out of your comfort zone!
